Vader Sessions

I love Vader, and if you do too then you need to see this. Some guy took Darth Vader scenes from Star Wars and edited them with various quotes from James Earl Jones movies. It's priceless and a must see.

Blu-ray Laser Pointer

I was just looking at some green laser pointers, since my brother got one for Christmas and I came across this Blu-ray laser pointer. Since I am so fascinated by Blu-ray these days, I thought it would be cool to show you too. Of course you would have to have a huge disposable income to think about buying one of these, but when it comes down to the $100 range I might think about picking one up, but for now it is available for $2000.

The Departed on Blu-Ray

Most of the my readers I know don't have a Blu-Ray player, but I do have to recommend the movie The Daparted and especially that it is on Blu-Ray Disc. The Departed is an awesome movie with an amazing cast. It has Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DeCaprio, Matt Damon, and Mark Wahlberg to name a few and is directed by Martin Scorsese. I took my PS3 to my buddies house last night with The Departed and after we figured out that his TV only accepted 480P and 1080i (real big pain) we watched 151 minutes of the most beautiful looking image in 1080i. I recommend that you get a Blu-Ray player either being a stand alone Blu-Ray player made by Sony, Pioneer, Samsung, or pick up a Playstation 3, which is cheaper and is a game console also and don't forget the movie.

The Departed on Blu-Ray ($23.95)

PS3 Bundle

Update: The Departed took home 4 Academy Awards, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.

[Xbox360] Gears of War : Act1-8 (JPN Ver)

Gears of War in Japanese, I really like it. Makes me think of an old Ikira Kurosawa film. It would be awesome if they updated the US version with this audio track (because it sounds cool - ok jer) with English subtitles. That would be more encouragement to play through the story once again.

Update: Changed the wording a little so my buddy would be happy and to let you know that GOW was #7 in terms of sales in Japan last week. This is a good sign for Xbox 360 in Japan, since it doesn't do very well there.

Ghostbusters

This is a new Xbox 360 game, the developers are trying to work out the licensing to produce it, so we will have to wait and see if it comes out. I loved playing Ghostbusters on my Commodore 64 back in the day, so an updated game to a great 80's movie would be most appreciated.

Macworld 2007

Steve Jobs released a couple of very exciting products yesterday at Macworld in San Francisco. The big announcement was the iPhone, 1/2 iPod, 1/2 phone, and 1/2 internet browser. It is super sleek with no buttons with a touch screen. There will be 2 versions a 4 GB ($499) and the 8GB ($599) and only available through Cingular. I have to say that you must check it out because when the iPhone comes out in June, it is going to be very popular. The next product is called the Apple TV formerly known as the iTV. It is a box the size of the Mac Mini with a 40 GB HD with an assortment of outputs, HDMI, component, optical, and standard audio. It will stream anything from iTunes from a Mac or PC up to 5 computers in the house for the cost of $299 and will be available in February. The final product is a redesigned Airport Extreme (February $179), similar in shape to the Apple TV, which is an update of the original with 802.11N (faster than A/B/G). Another nice feature is that it has an USB port that you can plug in a printer or what I really like is you can now plug in a USB hard drive and share the drive on the network. I am really excited about these products, but I was hoping for a new 23 HD monitor with a HDMI input, but maybe next time.
