Rambo (IV) 2008

If you ask me what Rambo is about, I would say it is a "Good old fashion action shoot 'em up". On that note if you didn't catch the newest Rambo installment, you might want to check out this chart I found today and then go get some tickets to see what your missing. I was really impressed by Rambo, even though Stallone is 61, he did a fine job acting and I can see him making another if it does well.

Hang On HD-DVD?

Staying with the anti-HD-DVD posts, here is something I keep seeing around the net. I had to show my readers how funny this poster is.

Macworld Expo 2008

At Macworld Expo Keynote today Steve Jobs announced what most had predicted a very thin laptop, updated the Apple TV, announced the new Time Capsule, and announced movie rentals via iTunes.
The new laptop is called the Apple Air, it has a 1.6 Ghz processor, 80 GB HD, 2 GB of Ram starting at $1799 or you can upgrade it with a 1.8 Ghz and a 64 Ghz solid state HD for $3098. The Air is tiny between 0.16 to 0.76 inch thin and weighing only 3.0 pounds.
The Apple TV Take 2 will be refreshed with a new UI, now you will be able to download directly to the ATV without a computer. The price has been lowered to $229 and $329 on both the 40 GB and 160 GB models.
Time capsule is kind of a new product, it's cross between an Apple Airport Extreme and a external HD with either 500 GB or 1 TB. They will be released in February at $299 and $499. It will back up your macs plus Apple TV wireless.
Lastly in iTunes you will be able to rent movies from a lot of studios. Older flicks will start off at $2.99 for older titles and $3.99 for newer titles. The HD version with 5.1 surround sound will cost $1.00 more.

Thanks for playing HD-DVD

If the rumors are true, it will be a quick death to the HD-DVD group soon. Friday Warner Brothers sided with Blu-ray, then Monday New Line Cinema followed suit, then today HBO came to the Blu. Rumor has it that Paramount and Universal will be Blu-ray exclusive in the next few days or weeks and will ultimately be the final nail in the coffin for hd-dvd..... So sad..........NOT.......

Assassin's Creed

This game was a lot of fun for me, some things were wrong, but most of it was great. Enjoy.

Warner Brothers Blu-ray exclusive now

Today was a huge day for the Blu-ray(BD) format as Warner Brothers chose to go exclusive to BD over being neutral and will no longer produce HD-DVD disc after May 2008. As you can see below now there are only 2 studios that back HD-DVD now and it will be just a matter of time before Universal decides the right thing too. Paramount is stuck for another year since they took the huge payoff to go exclusive to HD-DVD, which never did anything for the format. Read the press release by clicking on the picture.
