iPhone

Wow, what more do I have to say if you haven't already been following all that is out there about the iPhone. I am no longer a slave of Verizon and now on board with AT&T. I have already transferred all of contacts, music, and TV shows off my laptop and of course it was the easiest thing ever. I got to the AT&T store about 3:45 and was # 40 in line. We were told they had 45-90 phones, so I was not concerned. After the store reopened at 6pm it took about an hour for 39 people to get in and get out. Chipotle next door offered a free burrito for anyone that came in with their receipt, so I couldn't pass that up. I don't know if because it was free or not, but it was one of the best burritos I have ever had there. After playing with all of the features I would say that I quite impressed and it lives up to the hype. I am not saying all of this because I am a Apple fanboy, it just is a great phone. If you are lucky enough you might be able to hold it, that is if I let it out my site.

iPhone 6pm.........

The big day has arrived and later today I will try my luck to get one of the most anticipated celluar phones of all time. At 6pm all Apple and AT&T stores will open their doors for the public to come and spend their hard earned money on the coolest phone on the market. I've seen pictures of bigger cities having people camp out over night for this device, I did that for the Wii, but some people have to work so I will be there as soon as possible. Good luck to myself.

Blu-ray vs HD-DVD

Here is a good short article about who is going to win the format war. As you know I have had my support towards Blu-ray from day 1. The week Disney released Pirates of the Caribean 1 & 2 on Blu-ray and Warner Bros. released the Matrix trilogy on HD-DVD, Blu-ray was the obvious winner by selling a 4 to 1 ratio. How could a format loose when the top movie studios belong to your team ie. Twentienth Century Fox, Disney, and Sony Pictures.

Western States 100

Congratulations to my buddy Matt on finishing his second Western State 100. He started in Squaw Valley at 5am yesterday morning and finished under 24 hours at 4:50 this morning. My picture is just off 1/100 of a second from his official finish time. I don't know how these athletes run the 100 miles, and personally I think you have to be a little crazy to do it, but it still is amazing to have such an accomplishment under your belt. Great job and I hope I don't have to see your feet this year.

iPhone guided tour

Reason # 523 - 601 for buying an iPhone. WOW, after watching this 20+ min video, I can't wait for Friday June 29th. The video tour goes through a lot of the features and how things will work. I am beginning to think that the visual voice mail is saved on the hard drive. Just amazing, you should check it out if you are remotely interested how the phone works. If you are not, you should dig and hole in the ground and bury your head for a couple weeks, since I can guarantee that this will not be the last post that I will write about the iPhone.
